What's the name for sculpting pottery bowls by hands, not on potter's wheel, but by hands? Ceramics?
Q. I am taking a Ceramics class this year and I want to find a video on youtube to learn the process of making pottery with clay by hands, not the potter's wheel, because we are not there yet. When I try to find something on youtube, I only find videos that make pottery on the potters wheel. I want to know the name of making pottery by hands, so that I will find the videos I seek for. Does anyone know the name of making pottery by hands? Thank you for your help!

I have an answer to the Creation vs. Evolution debate -- do you agree with it? Why or why not?
Q. If what I have been told is accurate, the word that is translated into English as "day" in the Genesis account of Creation may be more accurately translated to mean "a period of time". If you, for the sake of the argument, agree that the God of the Bible "shaped" all life, then what is preventing Evolution from being the TOOL that He uses. After all, we are supposedly like the clay in the potter's hands and potters use tools for fine detail work all the time... I personally do not believe that the Biblical account of Creation is the correct one. I actually prefer the one in Hesiod -- However, as the majority of the Creation vs. Evolution debate on Y/A is carried on by those who follow the Bible on one side and those who "usually" are… [cont.]

A. I believe that God works within the confines of natural law and has revealed many truths about our universe through science. But this has little, if anything, to do with the actual debate as the Creation side believes that the Genesis story is about a six 24-hour day physical creation. That doesn't jive with the translated word or the material in Genesis 2:1-5, which says that the creation story is of a spiritual nature and not physical (for it had not rained on the earth).
